(Las Vegas, NV) — – The Transportation Security Administration is hoping more passengers at McCarran Airport will use its new express security program.
PreCheck allows travelers to submit information to the TSA. Once approved, they can go through airport checkpoints without having to remove their belts, shoes or light jackets. They can also avoid removing laptop computers and liquids from their bags. PreCheck devices are now available at all McCarran screening areas.
The TSA hopes that half of all airport passengers will go through PreCheck by next year.
