(Las Vegas, NV)  —  A Las Vegas resort is asking the Nevada Supreme Court to toss out a multi-million dollar injury verdict.

Enrique Rodriguez was watching football at the Palms in November 2004, when a female patron dived for a souvenir and hit him in the knee.

A judge awarded him $6.1 million.  Palms officials say it was a “freak” accident, but Rodriguez’s attorneys questioned whether the hotel’s “souvenir toss” promotion was a good idea.
