School TB Results To Be Kept Private
(Las Vegas, NV) — The results of tuberculosis tests at a Henderson school won’t be made public.
A spokeswoman for the Southern Nevada Health District says 325 students and staff at Coronado High received blood tests, but the number of positive cases probably won’t be released.
That’s because any positive TB results will be for the latent form of the disease, which is not contagious.
Testing was performed last month at Coronado, after one case of TB infection was reported.
