Bus Station Shooting In Las Vegas
LAS VEGAS (AP) — No one was injured, and police say an accused gunman was quickly arrested after a shooting at a bus terminal in downtown Las Vegas.
Officer Laura Meltzer said Friday the motive for the Thursday evening shooting was being investigated.
Police say officers responding to reports of shots fired about 6:40 p.m. arrested the man at the Greyhound station on Main Street.
Police at the scene said a middle-aged man who had been asked to leave the building fired several shots with a handgun at security officers outside, then entered the station and fired again.
No one was hit by gunfire or injured.
The bus station is adjacent to the Plaza Hotel & Casino, a little more than a block south of the Fremont Street Experience outdoor casino pedestrian mall.
