TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) — Tempe police say a 15-year-old boy and 17-year-old female friend are accused of plotting to kill the boy’s grandmother and have it look like an accident.

According to police, the boy wanted his grandmother killed because he was tired of being in trouble and of being disciplined by the grandmother.

Police say detectives arrested the youths Monday on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder.

According to police, the investigation started when somebody saw the boy’s Facebook page after it was left open on a computer.

The youths’ identities have not been released, and it’s not immediately known whether they have attorneys.
