( Las Vegas, NV ) – With cold air blowing through southern Nevada, light rain turned to light snow in some parts of Las Vegas before quickly moving on before sunrise.

Very light flurries were reported overnight Tuesday into Wednesday with no official accumulation (and no shovels required), but social media is abuzz with pictures and comments about snow in the Entertainment Capital Of The World.

Some Twitter and Facebook photos show car roofs and lawns picking up a dusting. Thanks to Twitter user @xoAndromeda for the snow picture of the Luxor Hotel.

The National Weather Service reported 0.05″ (five-hundredths) of rain as of 4am Wednesday.

A Hard Freeze Warning is in effect for overnight lows possibly dropping into the upper 20s through Saturday morning.
