(Las Vegas, NV) — Expect your water bill to be a bit more beginning in January.

Las Vegas Valley Water District’s Board of Directors unanimously approved a rate hike on Tuesday.

The Southern Nevada Water Authority proposed the increase to pay for water infrastructure.

It’s estimated the average residential customer will begin paying about $1.04 additional on their monthly bill.  The entire hike will be phased in over the next four years, with a total increase of about $5.
