(Las Vegas, NV)  –  Air travelers are leaving plenty of change behind at the security lines.

“Bloomberg Business Week” says last year, the nation’s travelers forgot to pick up over $500,000 from those plastic tubs at Transportation Safety Adiministration checkpoints.

At McCarran Airport, that unclaimed change amounted to nearly $27,000.

The TSA uses the money for security projects, but one lawmaker wants to put it toward airport rest areas for military personnel.
