(Las Vegas, NV) — The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and The Gay and Lesbian Community Center of Southern Nevada have announced a national HIV awareness campaign. It’s called “Protect Yourself At All Times.” UFC Hall of Famer, Forrest Griffin says the focus of this campaign is on “young risk takers,” which is part of the UFC audience. He says there are 56,000 new cases of HIV a year and half of those are people under 30 years old.

The Center’s CEO, Bob Elkins says they are always looking for ways to create awareness. They hand out information at events and local bars promoting free testing and the incentive of 2 movies tickets in return.

There is always free testing at The Center on Maryland Parkway in Las Vegas.
