FLORENCE, Ariz. (AP) — Authorities say a Tucson woman has been arrested for the second time this month for allegedly transporting people who are in the county illegally.

Pinal County Sheriff’s officials say a deputy stopped a pickup truck driven by 30-year-old Monica Estrada for several traffic violations on Interstate 10 last Thursday.

Authorities say four men were in the vehicle and Estrada reportedly told the deputy she was getting paid $800 for taking them to Phoenix.

Sheriff’s officials say the deputy recognized Estrada because he had arrested her on Nov. 13 on suspicion of human smuggling and she was driving the same vehicle again.

The U.S. Border Patrol took custody of the four men and Estrada was booked into the Pinal County Jail.

It was unclear Monday if she has a lawyer yet.
