Las Vegas — 6-year-old Brazyl Ward opened her eyes for the first time since being hit by a driver on Halloween night. Ward was hit while returning home with her family after an evening of celebration at church. The young girl has been in a medically induced coma at UMC since the crash. Police are still searching for the hit and run driver. A witness said the driver of the car that hit Brazyl never slowed down. He said the driver even turned around after the crash and drove back by the scene. Police described the driver as a Hispanic man in his mid-20s. They also described the sedan as a four-door gray or silver, mid-2000s vehicle. They said the vehicle fled into a residential area near Spring Valley Parkway and Peace Way. They urged any resident who has home surveillance video to turn it in to police. A $10,000 reward has been put up by a friend of the Ward family.
Anyone with information about the crash was asked to call Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
