Las Vegas – The Runnin’ Rebels fell a little short Tuesday night at the Thomas and Mack, as they went down to Arizona State 86-80.

Trailing 61-59 with a little more than 10 minutes left in the game, the Sun Devils went on runs of 9-4, 14-7 and 22-13 to seize momentum.

Sophomore point guard Jahii Carson scored a career high 40 points to lead ASU to their 4th straight win.

The Rebels had five players score in double figures, led by Roscoe Smith’s 18 points and 21 rebounds.

The Loss drops UNLV to 2 and 2. The Rebels return to action next Tuesday to host Illinois at the Thomas and Mack.
