Jeweler Sentenced In Stolen Goods Case
(LAS VEGAS, KXNT)–Its two years in prison for the local jewelry store owner who bought and resold stolen luxury jewelry. Nabil Sakkab, 39. will pay $196,000 in restitution for receiving stolen goods.
He pleaded guilty earlier this year.
Federal prosecutors say Sakkab was a fence for stolen jewelry, and re-sold it to private buyers at his store, Red Rock Jewelers. Authorities say much of the stolen jewelry consisted of high end Rolex watches, which were stolen in other states and brought to Las Vegas for sale.
A co-defendant, Jeffrey Cochran, who also pleaded guilty in the case, will be sentenced later this month.
