(LAS VEGAS, KXNT)–Metro Police have arrested two men in the shootings at an apartment building on Sherwood Street early Tuesday morning that left one man dead, and two other people wounded.
A police report says that Matthew Washington, 23, and Martell Moten, 22, were in a car stopped by an patrol officer shortly after reports of gunfire at the apartment. Police say two guns were found in the car.
The police report says officers responding to the shooting found Nathan Rawls on the floor. He was later pronounced dead. Two other persons who were on a love seat in the apartment were slightly wounded. A fourth person was asleep in a bedroom, although police say shots fired had penetrated the bedroom wall and narrowly missed the sleeping man.
Detectives say they questioned the two suspects separately and both admitted they had been in the victinity at the time of the shooting, neither says that he left the car.
Formal charges in the case have yet to be filed.
