( Las Vegas, NV ) – A 6-year-old trick-or-treater dressed as a pink Power Ranger is in critical condition this morning after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in the southwest valley.

It happened around 7:30 Thursday night in a residential neighborhood near Frank Kim Elementary School. That’s on Peace Way just east of Buffalo

Witness Kelly Commerford says there were a lot of people around, but she couldn’t help being overcome by emotion.

The girl is at University Medical Center’s Pediatric Intensive Care Unit while police ask for your help in tracking down a gray or silver 4-door sedan that witnesses say was driven by a Hispanic man in his 20s.

Also, a 17-year-old girl who was on her way home from a Halloween party is dead as the result of a crash in North Las Vegas.

The young woman was a passenger in a car driven by her grandfather when it was run into by a pick up truck near Ann Road and Coleman St.

She died at the scene. Her grandmother was also in the car along her with her 2-year-old son. The grandparents are in critical condition. The toddler was not hurt.

Investigators say it’s not clear who had the right of way at the time of the crash or whether speed and/or alcohol might be factors.
