LAS VEGAS (KXNT/AP) — A 25-year-old man has been sentenced on charges stemming from a crash that killed four people last year at a Las Vegas bus stop.
Gary Lee Hosey Jr. has been sentenced to a maximum of 80 years in prison. He was in court Friday after pleading guilty to five felony counts of driving under the influence with substantial bodily harm. He originally faced nine such counts, but took a plea deal in August that dropped four of them.
A witness told police she thought Hosey’s car was traveling more than 100 mph last Sept. 13 when it veered into the crowded regional transit bus stop.
Four people waiting at the stop were killed, and three were injured. Hosey and his four passengers were also hurt.
