LAS VEGAS (AP) — Las Vegas Metro Police are investigating the Tuesday night shooting death of a man near the campus of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Police say the shooting occurred around 8 p.m. at the Tammany Hall Apartments.

Officers found one man with gunshot wounds at the apartment complex, located east of the university on the 4300 block of Escondido Street.

The man’s identity has not been released.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports police do not know if the man was a resident or visitor at the apartments.
