LAS VEGAS (AP) _ Officials with Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas say graduates who took the bar exam this summer had the fourth-highest pass rate in the school’s history.
Boyd officials say 80 percent of their graduates who took the Nevada Bar Exam for the first time in July passed.
That’s the fourth-best performance since the school was founded in 1998, and better than the overall statewide pass rate of 76 percent among first-time test takers.
Representatives from Boyd initially reported the second-best performance in the school’s history, but said Tuesday that number was a miscalculation.
School officials credited a strong performance to Boyd’s Academic Success Program, which helps students and alumni prepare for the three-day bar exam through workshops, practice tests and one-on-one counseling sessions.
