CHANDLER, Ariz. (AP) — Chandler police say four boys are accused of abusing a kitten during the incident that occurred Oct. 14.

Police they reviewed surveillance video from a trailer park after getting a call about animal cruelty.

Sgt. Joe Sgt. Joe Favazzo says the video shows the kitten being kicked, struck with a ball and knocked around before its dead body was thrown into a pool.

Favazzo says conducting interviews for the investigation took some time and that the four boys were arrested Sunday on a charge of animal cruelty.

Their names were not released but police say the range from 8 to 12 years old.
