(Las Vegas, NV) — The lawyer representing a self-described pimp charged in a February shooting and crash that killed three people on the Las Vegas Strip, has been allowed to withdraw from the case.
Special Public Defender David Schieck requested the removal, citing an irreconcilable conflict with the defendant, Ammar Harris.
Prosecuters opposed Shieck’s request.
In granting the appointment of a new lawyer, Judge Kathleen Delaney said that the trial, scheduled to begin December 2, will most likely be delayed.
Harris could face the death penalty if convicted.
