High Winds Cause Power Outages

(Las Vegas, NV) — More than one-thousand NV Energy customers are in the dark as of 11:45 a.m. Monday.

One large problem spot is on the east side of the valley, near Flamingo and Pecos Roads.  A KXNT listener reports a power pole snapped in the vicinity, on Eucalyptus Avenue.

High winds are being blamed for power outages around the Las Vegas valley.

NV Energy has no estimate how long before service is restored to those affected.
