(LAS VEGAS, KXNT)–Its life in prison for a gang member convicted in a retaliation killing and a casino holdup dating back a decade.
A federal judge has handed the sentence to Jacory Taylor, a member of the Playboy Bloods, who was convicted earlier this year in a drug and racketeering conspiracy. He is the 9th defendant of 10 people originally named in a federal RICO indictment in 2008.
Prosecutors say Taylor was involved in the shooting death of a man mistakenly thought to be a member of the rival Crips at an apartment complex in 2004.
Taylor was also accused in a 2002 holdup at the Klondike Casino in Henderson, when an assault rifle was used to rob a cashier’s cage of $7,000.
