LAS VEGAS — Clark County commissioners have set a new hearing for November 5th to decide if they want to approve a sales tax increase to pay for more police.
Two different motions have been rejected in the past by the commission. The 0.15 percent increase would generate close to 30 million dollars for Metro. Sheriff Doug Gilespie says it would allow his department to hire around 100 additional officers.
