(Las Vegas, NV)  —  A compromise has been reached on the use of body cameras by Metro Police officers.

The “Las Vegas Sun” says 400 officers in the northwest valley will use the cameras as part of a pilot program that starts in February.

The officers who volunteer will be required to record any interaction with the public.

Officials are deciding how long the videos should stay on file and when they can be made public.
