(Las Vegas, NV) — Local television station KTUD, known as Vegas TV, is ceasing operations Thursday night at midnight.

The low-power independent station, owned by The Greenspun Corporation, broadcasts over the air on channel 25 and is carried by Cox Cable on channel 14.

KTUD has experienced financial trouble in the past, filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. Recents efforts to sell the station have been unsuccessful.

Employees were informed of the impending closure on Wednesday afternoon.
