Allegiant Flight Attendants Protest
Las Vegas CBS KXNT – Hundreds of Transport Workers Union members staged a rush-hour protest outside Allegiant Air’s Las Vegas office on Thursday, protesting stalled contract negotiations with the company’s flight attendants.
The flight attendants say they voted to join TWU in late 2010, and two years after sitting down at the table, are still waiting for their contract to be completed.
Allegiant’s pilots and dispatchers have voted separately to join other unions. Negotiators say the three work units together comprise more than 50 percent of the company’s employees.
Union members in town for a national TWU convention at the MGM were bussed from the Strip to join the picket.
