RTC Launches Henderson Park and Ride

Las Vegas CBS KXNT – Henderson commuters can now park the car and catch a ride to downtown on the RTC Henderson & Downtown Express. Southern Nevada Regional Transportation Commission launched the new park and ride facility Wednesday at the Fiesta Casino, at Boulder Highway and the 215 beltway.

The ride takes about 30 minutes, RTC’s Amber Stidham told KXNT. The line takes commuters directly to some large downtown worksites, like the Zappos headquarters, the Regional Justice Center, and City Hall. There’s also a stop at the Henderson campus of the College of Southern Nevada.

Fiesta Casino has dedicated 80 spaces in its northeast parking lot. Officials at parent company Station Casinos day they like providing service to the community, and they’re hoping some of the commuters will stop in once in a while for coffee or dinner.
