CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — Nevada Secretary of State Ross Miller is encouraging Nevadans to register to vote or update their registration information.

The next election might be a year away, but Tuesday is National Voter Registration Day.

Miller and others say it’s a good day to get involved in the election process.

The secretary of state’s office estimates 33 percent of Nevadans who are eligible to vote are not registered.

Nevada has a statewide, online voter registration system. The website is www.registertovotenv.gov .

Online voter registration can also be accessed through Facebook.
