CHANDLER, Ariz. (CBS Las Vegas) – An Arizona man is accused of branding his initials onto his girlfriend’s vaginal area after she didn’t want to go out dancing.
According to KSAZ-TV, Christopher Jackson attended a baseball game on May 15 and after the game he wanted to go out with his girlfriend. The victim told police she was too tired and that Jackson gave her some pills to stay awake, but she ended up falling asleep.
She believes she was drugged on purpose by her then boyfriend.
Court records show Jackson then used a branding tool and a butane torch to burn the initials “CJ” onto her vaginal area.
Police say she didn’t come forward with her story until last month because she was terrified. The victim explained to police that Jackson bragged about branding other women in the past and said he did it to her because she belonged to him.
A search warrant was served at Jackson’s home and police recovered the butane torch and branding tool.
Jackson was charged with a felony count of aggravated assault, causing a serious physical injury.
One neighbor told KSAZ-TV that Jackson seemed like a normal guy.
“That’s pretty crazy and kind of scary,” Brett Schneidt told the tv-station. “I’ve lived here next to him for 12 years and he always seemed like a normal, calm guy.”
