(Las Vegas, NV) — People all over the valley have payed respects to the victims of 9/11 in a speacial ceremony at Fire Station Five. Las Vegas NV Mayor Carolyn Goodman, along with members of the Metro Police and Fire Department spoke at the event. The even was open to the public. Hyde Park Middle School students sand the national anthem.
Mayor Goodman says every time she looks to the sky to see a plane it reminds her of those who lost lives twelve years ago. Clark County Fire Department Chief Bertral Washington says the City of Las Vegas is prepared now more then ever if an attack came to the city.
The Hyde Park Middle School Women’s Chorus sang ” Song for the Unsung Hero “. The Unified Honor Gurad then gave a 21 gun salute tap in honor of those who lost lives in the towers.
