Newspaper Battle Heats Up
(Las Vegas, NV) — The editor of the “Las Vegas Sun” says his newspaper’s future could be threatened if a joint operating agreement with the larger “Review-Journal” is allowed to end.
Brian Greenspun claims “R-J” parent Stephens Media conspired with his siblings to sever the nearly 25-year-old operating deal.
The agreement allows the “Review-Journal” and “Sun” to maintain separate reporting and editorial staffs, with the “R-J” handling advertising, printing and distribution.
A hearing is scheduled Friday on an injunction to block the deal.
