(Washington, DC) — The Justice Department has been ordered to release information on its investigation of former Senator John Ensign.

A judge has sided with Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics. The watchdog group wants to know why prosecutors decided not to pursue charges against Ensign, according to a report in “Las Vegas Review-Journal”.

The Nevada Republican resigned from the Senate in 2011, following revelations he had an extra-marital affair with his campaign treasurer and allegedly tried to help her husband’s lobbying career.
