(Las Vegas, NV) — More than 300,000 Clark County students are heading back to school this morning.

Three southwest valley elementary schools are now on year-round schedules to ease overcrowding, and more could follow suit next year.

A property tax increase to build more schools was turned down by voters last November.

The nation’s fifth-largest school district will also provide extra funding to more than a dozen campuses where most students don’t speak English.
