(Las Vegas, NV) A collaboration between police and local clergy is bringing the north east part of the Las Vegas valley closer. The event is known as Police, Pastors and Pancakes.
The idea to bring the two entities together is the brainchild of Captain Rick Fletcher of the North East Area Command. The two sides will develop strategies on how to bring the community closer to combat issues, especially for young people.
“We know the pastors in the community play a big role in talking with members of their churches about what the police are doing. Pastors will serve as another voice to tell people that the police are doing their best< says community activist Earl White.
Police cannot work alone when it comes to keeping a community safe. And the folks at the North East Area Command are diving in head first to make the area better.
