Authorities Hoping To Identify Person Of Interest In Connection With Recent Car Burglaries At Durango Hills YMCA

Credit Cards Taken In Burglaries

City of Las Vegas deputy city marshals are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a person of interest in connection with car burglaries at the Durango Hills YMCA, located at 3521 N. Durango Drive.

Three burglaries occurred Aug. 7 and 8 and so far this year there have been a total of four burglaries at the YMCA parking lot. Purses have been taken in the burglaries and the victim’s credit cards have subsequently been used for multiple unauthorized transactions.

The person of interest is described as a white female, between the age of 30 and 40 years old, between 5 feet 7 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall, and weighing between 180 and 200 pounds. Photos of this individual can be found at  ftp://ftp.lasvegasnevada.gov/ls/Burglary/. Anyone who can identify this individual is asked to contact investigators at 702-229-3223 or D&ECriminalInvestigations@lasvegasnevada.gov.

When parking a vehicle, never leave valuables such as a purse, electronics or packages visible inside the car. Always take valuables with you or lock them in the trunk.

The city’s Department of Detention and Enforcement provides the public with law enforcement services at city parks and facilities through the deputy city marshals, operates the city’s detention center and provides animal control services in the city of Las Vegas.
