Police Say Stabbings Were Random

(LAS VEGAS, KXNT)–Police say the man who stabbed several people near Harmon and Koval Thursday night has been caught and arrested. Police believe his  attacks were random, that there is no connection or prior assoictions between the man and the four people he injured.

53 year old Lee Sanford was apprehended near Harmon and Las Vegas Boulevard. He, too, was treated for a laceration wound before he was taken to the county detention center.

Sanford had a knife when located by police after the stabbings.  Four people were treated at UMC for wounds, but none of the injuries are life threatening. Sanford has been booked on four counts of battery with a deadly weapon.
