Childhood Obesity Rate Falls In Nevada
(Atlanta, GA) — A new report by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says fewer Nevada children are overweight.
Just under 13 percent of low-income preschoolers were obese in Nevada, according to the 2011 study. That’s down nearly a point from 2010, and slightly below the rate recorded in 2008.
The CDC says small but significant declines have been reported in 19 out of 43 states and territories it measured.
