LAS VEGAS (KXNT) – Michael T. Moore had been playing on the pedestrian bridge at Harmon and Las Vegas Boulevard with his guitar for years. Moore says he would make about 150 bucks a day. Recently he was was cited for public disturbance because his music could be heard 75 feet away. Even some of his equipment was confiscated by police.

At the American Civil Liberties Union, attorney Allen Lichtenstein tells KXNT that police had no right to take any personal property from Moore. ” I don’t understand why any property was taken in this situation ” Lichtenstein said. He went on to say that it would almost be impossible to hear Moore 75 feet away with all the other noise on the Strip.

As for Moore, he says he now is struggling to pay his bills. Some good news is that a judge ordered he get his equipment returned, but Moore says nothing has been given back to him.
