Las Vegas Visitor Count Dips Slightly In June

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Tourism authorities say the number of visitors to Las Vegas dipped slightly this June compared with last year.

The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority said Friday that about 3.4 million visitors came to town in June, down 0.9 percent from the same month last year.

Room occupancy was up from last June at 87 percent, and average hotel room rates ticked up 2 percent to $112 per night.

Gambling revenue for Clark County, where Las Vegas is located, was down 5 percent to $673 million.
