(Las Vegas, NV) Free dental screenings, sports physicals, children’s immunizations and more will be available at Clark County Commissioner Lawrence Weekly’s Back to School Health Fair.

The event will be held from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Aug. 3, at Star Smiles Children’s Dentistry at 4040 N. Martin Luther King Boulevard in North Las Vegas.

“With summer vacation flying by, families are starting to prepare for another school year,” Commissioner Weekly said. “This fair gives busy families a chance to catch up on important health screenings, and hopefully takes some of the stress out of the back-to-school season.”

This is Commissioner Weekly’s 14th annual back-to-school fair, which is free to attend.

At the fair, staff from the Star Smiles Children’s Dentistry will be offering complimentary dental screenings, doctors from UMC will provide sports physicals, and the Helping Kids Clinic will provide immunizations.

Also, the Nevada Health Co-Op will provide information on health insurance laws and regulations, and free school supplies will be available while they last.

The Star Smiles Children’s Dentistry office is near the intersection of North Martin Luther King Boulevard and Alexander Road.
