Las Vegas CBS KXNT -Residents will be able to return soon to all but a handful of units in the Atrium Garden Condominiums. The complex was evacuated last weekend after a rain storm with high winds ripped trees from the ground and disupted utilities.
The clean-up operation is progressing well, homeowners association president Andrea Orellana told KXNT. She’s spent the week supervising tree removal, damage inspections and utility restoration.
Twenty units out of 208 need repairs to gas or power lines, and a few more can’t be inhabited until structural damage is repaired. Orellana has no estimate of the damage yet, and no word on whether insurance will cover the full cost.
