Players To Boycott Venetian Poker
(Las Vegas, NV) — Some local poker pros are unhappy with Las Vegas Sands chairman Sheldon Adelson.
Poker insider Nolan Dalla has called for a five-day boycott of The Venetian hotel’s poker room. Dalla tells KXNT that he thinks Sheldon Adelson still lives in the 18th century. He says he cannot understand why Adelson would take such a stance that could hurt the Vegas economy.
He and other supporters are angry over Adelson’s campaign against legal online poker.
On his website, Dalla accused Adelson of being “an out-of-touch multi-billionaire” who’s spreading what Dalla claims is “some terribly misleading information about online poker.”
Officials with Vegas Sands have refused comment. Dalla is asking that all poker players boycott the Venetian for the next week.
