Family Seeks Video Release Of Jail Confrontation

LAS VEGAS (AP) — A local family has filed a wrongful death lawsuit in the death of a Detention Center inmate who died after a struggle with jailers.

All four corrections officers involved in a struggle that left a Clark County jail inmate dead have been identified as David Aspiazu, Bradley Temple, Patrick Gray and Eugene Dixon all have been with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department for at least a decade. They were placed on routine paid leave during an internal investigation.

Authorities say 38-year-old Luis Solano was being uncooperative Feb. 25 and struggled with the officers who were trying to subdue him for about three minutes.

The cause of death has been ruled asphyxiation.

Police say Solano was in custody on suspicion of trafficking cocaine and possessing marijuana with intent to sell.
