PHOENIX (AP) — Authorities say a Phoenix man and two children have been shot after the man got into an argument with a gunman who vomited on the victim’s pet.
Phoenix police spokesman James Holmes said the bizarre shooting occurred Wednesday evening at an apartment complex.
According to police, the 41-year-old man was walking his dog when a 22-year-old man vomited on the pet from a second story landing. Authorities say after the two exchange words, the 41-year-old was then shot at his doorstep by the man.
Police say a 14-year-old girl and 9-year-old boy, who were in the apartment’s living room, were also shot.
Authorities say the man was taken to a nearby hospital and is listed in critical condition. Police say the two children are suffering from non-life threatening.
No arrests have been made.
