CBS LAS VEGAS- The Carpenter 1 wildfire has now engulfed more than 25,000 acres in the Spring Mountains. Six structures have been lost, and the fire was only 10% contained, as of Wednesday, a reduction in containment compared to a day earlier, thanks to shifting winds. Duffy, Retired Clark County Firefighter and Resident of Mt. Charleston, talks about the tactics that the 800 firefighters are using to fight this wildfire.
The “go live” date for Silver State Health insurance exchanges is October 1, 2013, but a lot of states won’t be ready, and some declined to participate in building an exchange. The state hired an advertising agency to come up with a new, less confusing name. It’s now called Nevada Health Link. C.J. Bawden, Communications Officer for The Silver State Health Insurance Exchange, talks about the program and what people can do to sign up.
