LAS VEGAS (AP/KXNT) — Statistics released Tuesday by the Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors show the median home price in southern Nevada in June was $175,000. That’s up nearly three percent from a month earlier, and up almost 33 percent from a year ago.

Inventory remains short, although the group says the number of homes for sale without a pending offer is up 16 percent from last month.

Association president Dave Tina says he expects home prices to keep rising in coming months, but at a slower pace. He says the bump in the number of available homes on the market is welcome news as buyers struggle to find the homes they want.
