(LAS VEGAS, KXNT)–The weather service issued a flash flood warning for sections of Clark County due to heavy rain in the Silverado Ranch area and areas around Henderson Executive Airport. The warning is for central, southeast and east sections of the county. The warning expired at 2:30p, but the weather service has since issued a flash flood advisory for minor flooding of urban areas in Central Clark County until 4:30pm.

Ryan Metzger of the National Weather Service tells KXNT that nearly three quarters of an inch of rain fell within a half hour in the area of Green Valley and Warm Springs.

The advisory locations impacted by possible flooding include East Las Vegas, Green Valley, Nellis Afir Force Base, Sam’s Town, Anthem, the area of Charleston and Nellis Boulevards and Seven Hills.

UPDATE; The weather service says it is cancelling the flood advisory as of 3:30p because rains have eased considerably.
