(Las Vegas, NV)  —  Law enforcement agencies are cracking down on drunk drivers this holiday.

The enforcement effort is underway and runs through July 12th.

Local police and the Nevada Highway Patrol plan sobriety checkpoints across the Las Vegas Valley during the July 4th holiday.

A similar program last year resulted in nearly 1800 traffic stops and more than 100 DUI-related arrests in the Silver State.
