(Las Vegas, NV)  —  Las Vegas is going from hot to sizzling.

An excessive heat warning for the valley kicks in at 11:00 Friday morning, and runs through Monday night.

Forecasters expect daytime highs near the all-time record of 117 degrees.

NV Energy officials say they’re ready to ensure the power keeps flowing to your air conditioner.

Thirteen cooling stations will be open across the valley.  For the nearest location, call 211.
