Cops Reviewing ’96 Murder

(HENDERSON, NV.,KXNT)–Police say they have submitted DNA evidence and have made a public appeal for information in hopes of solving the 1996 murder of a Henderson woman in her home.

58 year old Diane Hietbrink was found stabbed to death on the floor of her home by her husband on the afternoon of September 25th, 1996. Police say that a young Hispanic man, then in his early 20’s, was seen by witnesses to be near the rear of the home that day.

In disclosing that DNA evidence in the case has been submitted to a lab for re-investigation, police also have released photos of the victim, evidence found at the scene, including a piece of shirt thought to have been worn by the assailant, and a composite sketch of their suspect.
